HISTORIA Y GENERACIÓN NAVARRO LÓPEZ

Don Juan Megía Sánchez founded the winery in the year 1904 as a modest family affair, which was then later passed down the generations.

In 1989, the current president, Doroteo Navarro Donado acquired it and began to steer it towards what it is today, BODEGAS NAVARRO LÓPEZ, S.L.

In 1997, carrying the project forward, Doroteo put his children at the head of the company, who began to work with professionals in a stage of investment, modernization and growth.

Presently, BODEGAS NAVARRO LÓPEZ is located close to Valdepeñas, in a rural area surrounded by vineyards, with a surface area of more than 12,000 m2.

BODEGAS NAVARRO LÓPEZ has 150 hectares of its own vineyards, of which approximately 110 hectares are of the red Tempranillo grape variety, and 90 hectares are of the white Airén grape variety.

FACILITIES

The facilities are designed to manufacture a high-quality product.

They have stainless steel vats, a microfiltration room, automated production lines and a laboratory with the best technology available.

Presently, they have a storage capacity of 6,000,000 liters, without counting the Bodega de Crianza, which presently has 4,500 American, French and Hungarian oak barrels.  It stands out in the industry for controlling temperature and moisture throughout the entire year.

Year after year, BODEGAS NAVARRO LÓPEZ works towards improving the quality of their products, from the raw material to the consumer, investing in the improvement of production processes.

Since 2004, BODEGAS NAVARRO LÓPEZ has been certified under the strict Food Security and Quality regulations.  Since the beginning of 2008, BODEGAS NAVARRO LÓPEZ is a Manufacturing Company of Ecological Products for ¨Manufacture, Raising and Bottling of Wines from Ecological Grapes¨.

International Food Standard: Higher Level.

BRC Global Standard-Food: Issue 4 with grade A.
